Christmas Cookies to Share for Delicious Moments!

Today, we unveil a recipe for little cookies that goes beyond mere culinary preparation.

It’s an invitation to share special moments with family, to knead the dough together, cut out playful shapes, and let your children’s creativity run wild. These little cookies become more than just a treat for the taste buds: they become an adventure, a collective work where everyone adds their personal touch.

Ingredients:

For an ethical touch in your culinary adventure, opt for organic and local ingredients. Choose the freshness of products from your region, support sustainable agriculture, and turn your recipe into a deliciously responsible celebration.

  • 200g of flour
  • 100g of brown sugar
  • 125g of butter (or coconut oil)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Some options for flavoring your cookies:

  • Orange zest
  • Cinnamon powder
  • Grated tonka bean

And for decoration:

  • Icing sugar
  • Fair trade chocolate chips
  • Crushed nuts

Preparation of your Christmas cookies:

  1. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and salt. Add your choice of flavors (orange zest, cinnamon, tonka bean) for a fragrant touch.
  2. Incorporate the butter: Cut the butter into small pieces and add it to the dry mixture. Knead with your hands until you achieve a sandy texture.
  3. Add the vanilla extract: Add the vanilla extract to the mixture and knead until you have a homogeneous dough.
  4. Form a ball and refrigerate: Form a ball with the dough, wrap it in reusable food wrap, and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven: In the meantime, preheat the campsite oven to 180°C (356°F) 🙂
  6. Roll out and cut: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 5mm thick. Use cookie cutters to create fun shapes with the kids.
  7. Decorate to your liking: Arrange the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Before baking, add decorations with icing sugar, chocolate chips, or crushed nuts.
  8. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are lightly golden.
  9. Let cool and enjoy: Allow the cookies to cool on a rack before indulging. You can store them in a metal container to keep them fresh for longer.
