Let’s head for the Lot, to Le Vigan in Quercy, between the Dordogne valley and the Causses du Quercy, with the famous towns of Sarlat-la-Canéda and Rocamadour. Lucile and Richard took part in our offbeat interview
If you were an element of nature, what would it be?
Air, the kind that blows just enough to make you feel light and alive. The breath of spring that intoxicates us with the scent of newly-opened flowers, the breath of summer that refreshes us in a life-saving way, the breath in the leaves that makes them sing and makes you want to answer them.
If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?
My beloved witch! With a twitch of your nose, you can transform things just the way you like them!
If you were a recipe, what would it be?
A vegetarian dish using local produce, a dish that combines pleasure of taste with a combination of sweet and savoury flavours, that makes you salivate without making you feel guilty! It could be a summer dish, a green salad with tomatoes, figs and a toast of rocamadour grilled with basil, a little touch of honey and all you have to do is enjoy it while taking your time on the sunny terrace.
If you had to describe your campsite through a song, what would you choose?
Uprising by Muse! It’s the music we play ‘at full blast’ to give us energy at the end of the evening when we have to tidy up, clean up and get everything ready for the next day before going to bed. It boosts us and drains us at the same time!
If your campsite were an animal, which one and why?
The robin, because it’s curious about everything, a bit mischievous and loves company! That’s a bit like us!
Which proverb or expression best defines your campsite?
A healthy mind in a healthy body is the first expression that comes to mind. Our visitors regularly tell us that they feel a calming atmosphere as soon as they arrive at the campsite. Some speak of ‘beautiful energies’ and ‘serenity’. They feel good straight away, in harmony with the surroundings, helping them to release tension and refocus. We like to think that there’s a link with our approach to respect for others and for nature, an approach that drives us on a daily basis and which is palpable on the campsite.
‘A healthy mind in a healthy body’, isn’t that the balance we’d all like to achieve?
To get a feel for this astonishing blend of calm and energy, the best thing to do is to go and see for yourself and pay Le Rêve campsite a visit. In the meantime, immerse yourself in their atmosphere by visiting their website: www.campinglereve.com
